CARMEL, Ind. — Republic Airways, one of the largest regional airlines in the country, is moving its headquarters to Carmel.

Additionally, the company says it is building a new training center for pilots, techs and flight attendants, consolidating its locations in Cincinnati, St. Louis, Indianapolis and other Midwest cities.

Republic also plans on creating nearly 2,000 new jobs for its new first-class facility along U.S. 31, which will be more than 100,000 square feet and three stories tall.

“Locating in the city of Carmel indicates our desire to provide a first-class corporate campus and training facility as this city is often listed among the best places to live, work and raise a family,” said Matt Koscal, Republic Airways Chief Administrative Officer.

The airline company provides nearly 1,000 daily flights in 40 states, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America.
