INDIANAPOLIS — Do you have old, unused electronics just sitting around the house? You can recycle them for free this Saturday, March 13, at the Indianapolis Zoo.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Zoo’s parking lot, you can bring old electronics for proper disposal. Staff from Technology Recyclers will be on-site to make vehicle unloading quick and simple.
As a way to say thanks, all participants will receive a coupon for $2 off Zoo admission.
Most electronics will be accepted free-of-charge. There is a $20 processing fee for televisions and monitors. Large appliances will not be accepted.

- TVs and monitors
- Fax machines
- Satellite components
- Microwaves
- VCR/DVD, laserdisc players
- Scanners and copiers
- Backup power systems
- Keyboards and accessories
- Small appliances
- All batteries
- Printers and cartridges
- External hard drives
- Integrated circuits
- Power cables and wiring
The 2020 fall event at the Zoo diverted nearly 700 pounds of recyclable materials from area landfills.
