INDIANAPOLIS — Do you have old, unused electronics just sitting around the house? You can recycle them for free this Saturday, March 13, at the Indianapolis Zoo.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Zoo’s parking lot, you can bring old electronics for proper disposal. Staff from Technology Recyclers will be on-site to make vehicle unloading quick and simple.

As a way to say thanks, all participants will receive a coupon for $2 off Zoo admission.

Most electronics will be accepted free-of-charge. There is a $20 processing fee for televisions and monitors. Large appliances will not be accepted.

Other items that will be accepted during Power Recycling Day include:

  • Laptops
  • Telephone systems
  • TVs and monitors
  • Fax machines
  • Satellite components
  • Microwaves
  • VCR/DVD, laserdisc players
  • Scanners and copiers
  • Backup power systems
