STATEWIDE — A dangerous severe weather outbreak is likely Saturday, with the potential for tornadoes, damaging hail, and destructive winds all across the state.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center issued a moderate risk of severe weather more than a day in advance, saying that a significant severe weather outbreak is possible.

NWS Meteorologist Jason Puma says you should have a severe weather plan in place before the storms come, and know where to receive severe weather warning information

“Have more than one way to receive that warning information.”

He says you can listen to AM/FM radio stations, or listen to your favorite meteorologist. Puma says it’s important to have more than one in case one fails.
