South Bend Police Make Arrest in Crisyah Stephens Case

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Police in South Bend have made an arrest in the Crisyah Stephens case.

Jaheim Campbell, 18, was arrested early Friday morning on charges of murder and attempted murder.

Investigators say hours before the fatal shooting on Aug. 29, Campbell asked another person to help kill a man. After he fired shots as he drove past a birthday party, he admitted on Facebook he shot the 7-year-old girl, but that “it wasn’t over” because he didn’t kill his intended target.

He’s in the St Joseph County Jail with no bond.
