State Trooper Arrested for Battery Charges
PERU, Ind. – An investigation by Indiana State Police has led to the arrested of 43-year-old Master Trooper Michael Meiser.
State Police started an investigation after they were told that Meiser had committed battery against an Indiana State employee.
A warrant was issued by Miami Superior Court II and Meiser was taken into custody Thursday. He is facing a misdemeanor charge of battery, and has posted bond.
According to State Police he is a 16-year-veteran of the department. Meiser has been assigned to administrative duties until the completion of the criminal case and an Indiana State Police internal investigation.
