Subaru Automotive of Indiana to Halt Production
LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Another automaker is shutting down an Indiana facility over coronavirus concerns.
Subaru Automotive announced Thursday that it will close its Lafayette plant on Monday. The facility will remain closed through Sunday, March 29.
All Subaru employees will be paid during the shutdown, according to the automaker.
The Lafayette plant is Subaru’s only U.S. facility and employs more than 6,000 people.
Ford, General Motors, and Fiat-Chrysler all announced similar shutdowns on Wednesday.
