INDIANAPOLIS — A toddler was killed in a Monday night hit-and-run crash on the north side of Indianapolis.
Indy Metro Police say it happened just after 7:30 p.m. Police responded to an accident near the Clearwater Village shopping center on 82nd Street, just west of Allisonville Road.
Officers arrived and found a young child who had been hit by a vehicle. That vehicle drove off from the scene. The child was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
The vehicle that hit the child left the scene. Police do not have any description of what type of vehicle hit the child.
