INDIANAPOLIS — A woman was killed and a man injured in a double shooting on the near west side.
The shots were fired along West 10th Street between North Pershing and North Sheffield. Indianapolis Metro Police say they were called at around 8:30 Thursday night. Police arrived to find both the man and woman shot.
The man who was shot tried to drive himself to the hospital, but he was later taken by ambulance to Eskenazi Hospital. Both were taken there and that’s where the woman died of her injuries a couple of hours after the shooting.
Police have not said what connection the man and woman may have, or whether a suspect is being sought.
