INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metro Police have identified the 1-year-old child who died.
The child’s name is Dontrell Mcclung. His mother Kira Fear, 19, and Tyree Resnover, 21, were arrested for his death.
IMPD officers were called Wednesday morning to an area near N. Keystone Ave. and Kessler Blvd. on the report of a possible dead child.
When officers arrived, they found an ambulance that had been flagged down by people asking for help.
Indianapolis EMS pronounced Mcclung dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives believe he may have been injured at a home in the 6000 block of Primrose Ave.
An autopsy performed Thursday determined he died of blunt force trauma.
Fear and Resnover are facing preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent causing death.
