11-Year-Old Boy Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. -- An 11-year-old boy was hurt in a mini-bike crash Sunday afternoon in Morgan County, Indiana.
The boy was following his grandfather on Whetstine Road, just north of Railroad Road at around 1:30 p.m. The grandfather was on a lawnmower.
The 11-year-old tried to turn around in the road when he pulled in front of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by a 62-year-old man.
The boy was hit by the motorcycle and injured his wrist, torso and leg. He is recovering at a Morgan County hospital.
Indiana Conservation Officers say neither the boy nor the motorcyclist were wearing safety gear at the time of the accident.
Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, says Indiana DNR.
