200 Years For A Shelbyville Man Who Sexually Abused A Child
SHELBYVILLE, Ind. -- 200 years in prison, that's how much a Shelbyville man was sentenced to after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography.
On April 11, 2018, Jeffrey Esposito was charged with twenty counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography, said the United States Department of Justice.
“Esposito tortured, sexually abused, and sexually exploited children for years,” said United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler. “Judge Magnus-Stinson’s sentence ensures that he will never come in contact with another child again.”
Esposito recorded his repeated sexual abuse on his victim, who was seven to eight years old when the sexual abuse started. The abuse continued for years and included bondage, choking, whipping, and other forms of pain.
The twenty counts represent twenty images or videos of the abuse out of the hundreds of sexual abuse files that Esposito created.
According to a press release, Esposito was a member of various websites devoted to the sexual exploitation of children, and he participated on various anonymous chatting platforms with other offenders and shared his images and videos, and received child pornography in exchange.
The final charge is for the thousands of other photos and videos Esposito had on his various devices that depicted children as young as three getting sexually abused.
