2019 Record-Breaking Year for Economic Development in Indiana
INDIANA- The Indiana Economic Development Corporation says 2019 was the third consecutive record-breaking year for economic development in Indiana.
296 companies have committed to locate or grow in the state. Together, these businesses will invest more than $8.44 billion in the Hoosier state. This will create up to 27,137 new jobs with average wages of $28.60/hour, which is above the country's average wages.
Governor Eric Holcomb said during the announcement Monday, “As a state, we have worked tirelessly to create a nationally ranked, pro-growth business climate, and the results have solidified Indiana's reputation as a global destination for business, creating high-quality career opportunities for Hoosiers in the process."
