Anderson Burglar Returns To Ask Homeowner About Renting Property

Aaron Hendrickson was arrested after admitting to stealing the $6,500 worth of items from the house.

ANDERSON, Ind. -- A homeless man is accused of stealing handguns, tools, cash and jewelry from a home, then returning to ask the owner about renting the property.

According to The Herald Bulletin, on May 28, a man reported to police that more than $6,000 worth of tools, TVs, guns, cash, and jewelry were missing from a house he owned.

Later that day, the man, Aaron Hendrickson, and two other women, came back to the house while the homeowner was there. He said Hendrickson and the women asked about renting the home. When they left, the homeowner took photos of their gray van and the license plate.

The following week, officers located the van, and one of the women, Sarah Black, with some of the stolen items. She admitted that Hendrickson asked her and another woman to help steal more stuff from the house.

Officers located Hendrickson in Daleville on June 14. When questioned, he admitted to stealing the items, and broke in when he found out no one was living there.

Aaron Hendrickson was charged with Level 5 felony burglary and Level 6 felony theft on Tuesday.
