Bargersville Man Killed In Overnight Crash, Alcohol a Factor

Robert Shirley, 42, was killed when a Jeep driven by Tina Isley, 48, crashed in to him head-on.

BARGERSVILLE, Ind. — Police believe alcohol played a factor in a fatal head-on crash early Saturday morning.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a 2015 Jeep Wrangler crossed the center line of Division Road, near State Road 135, and crashed into a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck, Robert Shirley of Bargersville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Tiny Isley, the driver of the Jeep, was taken to Methodist Hospital with an injured ankle.

Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the fatal crash and toxicology results are pending.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
