INDIANAPOLIS  — If you live or work somewhere along Binford Boulevard, get ready for some big changes–and some big traffic delays.

The city began work Monday on a $5.6-million project to improve 16 intersections and patch and resurface Binford Blvd. between 38th and 75th Streets, according to the Indy Department of Public Works.

Improvement projects planned for the area include new street signs, improved traffic signals, new lane markings, and curb ramps for pedestrians.

Neighborhoods to be impacted by construction delays and road closures include Avalon Hills, Devonshire, Eastwood, Glendale, Kessler Commons, Keystone Monon, and Steinmeier Estates.

The project, which has an estimated cost of $5.6-million, is expected to be complete by November.
