Box Truck Rear-Ends Tractor, Critically Injures Man

Police don't think alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

BOONE COUNTY, Ind--A man was critically injured in an accident where a box truck driven by a man from Indianapolis hit the back of his tractor Tuesday afternoon in Boone County.

Joseph Garst of Thorntown was driving his tractor in the right lane of on U.S. 52 going south.

A 2011 International box truck driven by Jamar Odom of Indianapolis hit the back of the tractor, causing the tractor to go off the road.

Garst is in critical condition. Odom was treated at the scene and released by medical personnel. 

Police don't think alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
