Carmel Chase Ends in Indy, Teenagers Arrested

The 15-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger were arrested after crashing the SUV early Monday morning.

CARMEL, Ind. -- Two teenagers were arrested, and police are still looking for a third teenager, after a Monday morning chase from Carmel to Indianapolis.

Carmel Police say they received reports of a suspicious vehicle driving slowly with its lights off near 116th Street and Rangeline Road. When they tried to pull it over, it sped off, starting the chase.

Indianapolis Metro Police officers joined the pursuit when the SUV came into Marion County. It ended when the SUV crashed into a house at 29th and Udell streets in Indy around 1:30 a.m.

The three people in the SUV tried to run away. Police arrested the 15-year-old driver and a 13-year-old passenger. They're still looking for another passenger that was able to escape.
