Jessi Baldwin told police she hit the restaurant after swerving to avoid an oncoming car.

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- A Columbus woman faces DUI and drug charges after she crashed her car into a Dairy Queen.

Jessi Baldwin, 37, was arrested Wednesday.

Baldwin told police she was driving the parking lot when she had to swerve to avoid an oncoming car and ended up driving into the side of the restaurant.

Officers suspected Baldwin was intoxicated. She was arrested after a blood draw showed alcohol in her system. While searching her purse on the way to jail, officers found pot and drug paraphernalia.
