Court Docs: Fight Over Thrown Cornhole Bag Led to Fatal Indy Shooting

Jason Frazier was shot and killed outside Tuesday night outside Drake's Keystone Bar and Restaurant.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -- A man died early Wednesday morning after a shooting that stemmed from an argument outside of an Indianapolis bar, court documents show.

Jean Eyongegbe, 25, was arrested following the shooting death of Jason Frazier.

Frazier was shot Tuesday night after a confrontation started in the parking lot of Drake's Keystone Bar and Restaurant located at 3740 E. 82nd St., he died a short time later at St. Vincent Hospital.

According to court documents acquired from the Marion County Clerk's Office, two women and two men, including Frazier were in the parking lot playing cornhole when Eyongegbe and another man walked out of the bar and allegedly said something to one of the women.

Court documents show the fatal shooting happened after a man threw a bean bag at Eyongegbe and his friend outside of the restaurant.

Eyongegbe and his friend then got inside a black SUV and sat there for several minutes. They later got out of the SUV and a fight between the four men ensued.

Frazier was shot during the altercation. Court documents show Eyongegbe and his friend got back into the SUV and waited for police to arrive.

Eyongegbe was later arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting.

The Marion County Prosecutor's Office has not yet filed formal charges against Eyongegbe.
