Crawfordsville Couple Accused of Having Sex With Their Children
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- A couple from Crawfordsville faces a combined 35 criminal charges for allegedly having sex with their three children.
Police in Montgomery County say 52-year-old Keylin Johnson and his wife, 44-year-old Sheila Johnson, have had sex with their children since at least 2012.
Sheila Johnson faces 17 charges, including multiple counts of child molesting and incest and one count of bestiality.
Keylin Johnson faces 18 charges, including multiple counts of child molesting and incest and a count of possession of child pornography.
WBIW says police began investigating the couple on Feb. 25 after a woman reported two of the children telling her about "possible sexual abuse" involving their parents.
According to WBIW, the oldest child told police that Keylin Johnson told them "incest was a normal way of life" and "the best way to build a family bond was to have sex with your parents, particularly your mother."
The youngest child was removed from the Johnson home the following day, Feb. 26. The child told investigators her "both of her parents would do gross things in the home".
Sheila Johnson admitted to child abuse and incest and told police she attempted to have sex with a dog. She is due in court July 31.
Keylin Johnson told investigators he was "guilty of internet porn and other stuff" and admitted to police that he had downloaded a nude photo of one of his children onto his cell phone. He is due in court Aug. 14.
The couple remains in the Montgomery County Jail.
