CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — A police officer in Crawfordsville fired his gun last night near the Wabash College campus, say Indiana State Police.
Sgt. Kim Riley with state police says Crawfordsville officers were called to a home along Walnut Street around 1:00 this morning. They say it was a “domestic-suicidal” situation.
“Shortly after arrival of the officers, the suspect was confronted and reportedly pointed a handgun at the officers,” Sgt. Riley said in a press release. “In self-defense, one of the officers fired at the suspect hitting the suspect at least once.”
The suspect was taken to Franciscan Hospital in Crawfordsville with non-life threatening injuries.
