Delaware St. Shooting Victim Identified

The shooting happened around 8 a.m. near 30th and Delaware Streets, a few blocks from the Children's Museum.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man died Wednesday after a shooting on Indy's north side.

The shooting happened at around 8 a.m., near the intersection of 30th and Delaware streets. 

An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer on the scene said Jermaine Ivory Taylor, 37, was found on the ground in front of a running car with gunshot wounds in the abdomen and thigh.

The man was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he died. 

Police are still searching for the shooter.

The name of the victim has not been released.
