Driver Arrested After Crashing into Warren Township School Bus

A Warren Township school bus was hit on westbound I-70 while transporting seven students.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A crash involving a school bus Thursday morning was caused by a driver who Indiana State Police believe was under the influence of alcohol.

Seven students were on board the Warren Township Schools bus when it was hit by the car of Sarah Nuckols, of Indianapolis.

Nuckols lost control and spun into the side of the bus at a high rate of speed, according to Indiana State Police.

Two students and an adult passenger from the bus were taken to an area hospital.

Nuckols was taken to the hospital for evaluation and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The right three lanes of westbound I-70 were closed for about an hour for cleanup.
