(INDIANAPOLIS) – Facebook wants you to plug your business on social media — and is holding two days of workshops in Indy to help you do it.

Facebook is nearing the end of a 50-city tour to help small businesses build their web presence through Facebook ads and groups, and through Facebook-owned Instagram. Chris Randle with the web giant’s policy team says the platform’s global reach and the potential for instant customer service make it an indispensable part of a modern business plan.

While millions of people have learned Facebook on their own, Randle says there are still people who need help setting up a profile. And even experienced users may need help setting up groups to target their customers.

400 people signed up for the Indianapolis event. Facebook has set a goal of reaching a million small businesses by 2020.
