PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. -- A report of two young kids playing in the street wearing only their diapers led to a startling discovery at a home near Cloverdale.

A concerned citizen saw the two- and three-year-old boys playing in the street in only their diapers. Both children looked very unclean.

The citizen called police, leading the boys' father, 24-year-old Robert Henline, to take the children inside their home.

When police arrived and went inside Henline's house, they found deplorable living conditions that reeked of urine and feces. Officers also found another child, a 4-month-old, living in the home.

Henline, was arrested on a felony charge of felony neglect of a dependent.

The 26-year-old mother of the three chilsewn assisted the Department of Child Services with relocation of the children to a safer environment and is expected to be summoned into Putnam County Court on similar charges.
