Former Correctional Officer Accused of Sex, Trafficking With Inmate

Janet Miller of Zionsville worked at Pendleton Correctional Facility until she was fired in late October.

PENDLETON, Ind. -- A former correctional officer at Pendleton Correctional Facility is accused of trafficking and sex with an inmate.

Janet Miller of Zionsville has been arrested in the case.

PCF said Miller was suspended on Oct. 18 and fired Oct. 23 after being accused of trafficking with an inmate.

Investigators later received information that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with inmate Jonathan Moyer while she was employed at the facility.

Miller now faces felony charges of trafficking with an inmate, official misconduct and sexual misconduct with an inmate. She has been booked into the Madison County Jail.

“The threat and vulnerability a person places themselves in this type of situation is incomprehensible and criminal," said PCF Warden Dushan Zatecky. "We will never tolerate this type of behavior by any staff member who places not only themselves in danger, but all staff."

Pendleton inmate Jonathan Moyer has been placed in Administrative Restrictive Housing.
