Surveillance video shows Francella Van Fossen slapping a 10-year-old girl who has brain damage.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- A former Noblesville school bus aide will spend 10 days in jail for slapping a 10-year-old girl who has brain damage.

Francella Van Fossen pleaded guilty to a single charge of misdemeanor battery for the May incident, which was captured by the surveillance camera inside the bus.

She initially told investigators that she "touched" the girl's face after the girl bit her, but surveillance video shows her slapping the girl across the face.

Van Fossen was also ordered to spend 170 days on probation.
