Fort Wayne Children's Zoo Welcomes Lynx Babies

The zoo's Canadian lynx gave birth to three cubs, Acadia and her brothers, Nootka and Sekani.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo has some new residents prowling around.

On Wednesday, the zoo announced that one of its Canadian lynx, Frisco, gave birth to three cubs.

Acadia and her brothers, Nootka and Sekani, were born last month.

The zoo said in a Facebook post that Sekani was born with an abnormal foot, meaning the tendons in his hind leg were contracted because of his position in utero.

Their team was able to transition him to human care, so he can get physical therapy to help correct the issue. Senkani will be transferred to another AZA-accredited zoo to continue treatment.

Frisco and her two other cubs aren't out in the exhibit just yet, but keep your eyes peeled for later this season.
