Fort Wayne Police Officer Finds Wandering Cow

No one knows how the cow got out of its pasture.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- A cow was found wandering around Fort Wayne on Saturday near the animal shelter.

A representative from the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control told WANE 15 that Fort Wayne Police Capt. PJ Smith was able to put a leash on it, and walk the cow to the shelter.

After he dropped the cow off, Smith went door-to-door along Butler Road until the cow's owner was found.

No one knows how the cow got out.
