INDIANAPOLIS — A cold front responsible for the morning rain and afternoon cloud cover will usher in a reinforcing shot of colder air Monday night, according to WISH-TV meteorologist Marcus Bailey.

Freeze Warning is in effect for most of central Indiana until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

This means Freeze temperatures below freezing are imminent or highly likely, says the National Weather Service. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive outdoor plants.

Frost Advisory in place for the southern third of the state until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

This means a widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants and crops may be damaged or killed.

Bailey says overnight lows will be close to the freezing mark in most areas, especially the northern half of the state. The overnight low in Indianapolis is expected to be 34 degrees.
