Ft. Wayne Woman Sentenced for Threatening to Kill Judge

Ida Wilson's threat to a Circuit Court judge was captured during a phone call with her son, an inmate at the Delaware Co. Jail.

MUNCIE, Ind. – A Fort Wayne woman pleaded guilty Monday to threatening to kill a Delaware County Judge.

Ida Wilson, 59, was arrested in January after vowing to kill Circuit Court 5 Judge Thomas Cannon Jr. Wilson's threat was captured during a monitored phone call with her phone, an inmate at the Delaware County Jail.

In exchange for her guilty plea, Wilson had her felony intimidation charge reduced to a misdemeaor, reports The Muncie Star Press. Two other charges against Wilson were dismissed.

Wilson received a six-month suspended sentence and will spend six months on probation.
