Historic Church Catches Fire North Of Downtown Indy
INDIANAPOLIS -- A historic, 70-year-old church caught fire Tuesday morning, leading to about $1 million in damage.
At about 9 a.m., Indianapolis Fire Department Firefighters responded to Our Savior Lutheran Church at 261 W. 25th St.
The fire was found in the basement. It caused about $1 million in damage, according to IFD.
The church was built in 1948 and was recently named on the National Register of Historic Places through the National Park Service.
