INDIANAPOLIS–A fatal hit-and-run crash left one person dead on Indy’s east side early Thursday morning.
The crash happened in the area of 10th Street and North Ridgeview Drive at about 12:45.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says they responded the crash involved a white SUV and a maroon car.
The SUV was going west on East 10th Street when it slammed into the car as it was attempting to turn east onto 10th Street.
The driver of the SUV ran away after the crash. Police don’t have a description of that driver.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
