How IndyGo Is Getting You Ready for Permanent Traffic Changes

The Red Line means changes whether you walk, ride or drive in Indianapolis. IndyGo hopes these videos will help.

INDIANAPOLIS--If you walk, ride the bus or drive a car in Indianapolis, you'll likely be affected by the Red Line, when it begins service in September. Since it's set to start in 51 days, IndyGo has put up a series of videos to show how traffic will be configured at each major intersection.

You can see the videos at https://www.indygored.com/roadrules/#ReadyForRed

The videos cover car traffic, buus traffic, the stops and foot traffic at 54th and College; 18th and Capitol; 30th and Meridian; Washington and Capitol; and Maryland and Meridian.

Construction crews will begin pavement markings and installing the median for the rapid transit vehicles on Monday, July 15, said IndyGo's website. Installation of the median is to prevent vehicles other than public safety and IndyGo from traveling in or across the bus only lanes.
