IFD: Driver Loses Control, Goes Airborne on I-465
INDIANAPOLIS -- A 70-year-old man is in the hospital after his truck went airborne on I-465 and crash-landed on an embankment.
The man was drivingt eastbound sometime before 8 p.m. Monday when he lost control, smashed into a guardrail, and went airborne, the Indianapolis Fire Department said on Twitter.
The pickup truck landed on an emabnkment of loose rocks at Keystone Avenue, firefighters said.
The man was trapped inside his truck and it took firefighters 35 minutes to free him.
The man was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in serious condition.
