Indiana DNR: Body of Missing Boater Found in White River

Antonio Sanchez-Maldonado was found just downstream from where a boat capsized on Monday, say state conservation officers.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. -- The fifth and final victim of a Labor Day boating accident has been found in the White River in Morgan County.

The body of Antonio Sanchez-Maldonado was located just downstream from where the boat capsized Monday night, the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources confirmed Thursday.

Sanchez-Maldonado and six others were thrown from the boat when it went down on the White River near the IPL dam in Martinsville.

Only two people survived; they were pulled from the water by bystanders and taken to a Morgan County hospital.

The bodies of Emilia Villegas and 6-year-old Amisadai Elel Conchas were found in the river Monday night; conservation officers found the bodies of Niseforo Sanchez and Rogoberto Conchas on Tuesday.

Life jackets were on the boat at the time of the capsizing, but no one was wearing one, said Indiana DNR.
