The kayaker went under the water on the Tippecanoe River near the Norway Dam.

MONTICELLO, Ind. -- State conservation officers are searching the Tippecanoe River for a kayaker that went missing Monday morning.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the kayaker went under the water at around 8:20 a.m. in the river south of the Norway Dam near Monticello.

The dam has been shut down so divers can search the area, DNR told WLFI.
