Indiana Soldier Killed During Training Exercise To Be Laid To Rest In Indiana

Indiana State Police will be escorting the remains of Drew Watters from the Indianapolis International Airport to the Browning Funeral Home.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A soldier from Evansville, Army Specialist Drew Watters, will return home on Saturday night. 

Indiana State Police will be escorting the remains of 23-year-old Watters from the Indianapolis International Airport to the Browning Funeral Home in Evansville said a press release. 

Watters was killed during a training exercise in Tacoma, Washington, last Sunday at Joint Base Lewis McChord . 

The funeral for Watters will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14 at the Christian Fellowship Church. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Watters was a member of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.
