Indiana Soldier Killed in Training Accident

Drew Watters was killed at a base in Tacoma, Washington.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--A soldier from Evansville died in a training accident in Tacoma, Washington. Specialist Drew Watters, 23, was killed at Joint Base Lewis McChord, in an accident Sunday. 

The Army did not discuss what happened, but they did confirm that they are working on an investigation. Watters was a member of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.

“Spc. Watters was a leader, husband, and father who will be sorely missed by all,” brigade commander Col. Jay Miseli said in a statement to the Army Times.
