Indy Man Arrested for Passing Counterfeit Cash

Jeffery Cross, Jr. is accused of using phony $100 bills at businesses in Marion.

MARION, Ind. — An Indianapolis man is accused of passing counterfeit cash in Grant County.

18-year-old Jeffery Cross, Jr. was arrested Tuesday in Marion after police found 10 counterfeit $100 during a traffic stop.

Cross is charged with counterfeiting, according to Grant Co. court documents.

Cross is accused of passing fake $100 bills at several Marion businesses, including Papa John's, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, and Dunkin' Donuts. A business owner provided a description that matched Cross, according to Marion PD.

Marion Police said Cross was also wanted on warrants out of Boone and Marion Counties.
