Indy Metro Police ID Teenager Killed in Hit-and-Run

A 14-year-old boy riding a motorized mini-bike was rear ended Wednedsay night. The driver who hit him got out of the car and ran away.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indy Metro Police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a 14-year-old boy on the city's northwest side.

Luis Patino was riding a motorized mini-bike Wednesday night on Coil Street when he was rear-ended by a car. 

The driver got out of the car and ran away, leaving Patino in the street. 

Patino died before he could be taken to a hospital.

Indy Metro Police are searching for the driver of the car but have not released any identifying information.
