Indy Mom Hits Gas Pedal Instead of Brake, Crashes Into KinderCare Center

The crash happened Thursday evening on Woodfield Crossing, just southwest of E. 82nd Street and North Keystone Ave.

INDIANAPOLIS — A mom hit the gas pedal instead of the brake Thurday evening, sending her car into the side of a child care center on Indy's north side.

Indianapolis firefighters were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to Woodfield Crossing KinderCare Learning Center, just southwest of E. 82nd Street and North Keystone Ave, according to WISH-TV.

The car hit a wall near the front entrance, causing some damage.

No one inside the childcare center was hurt, a KinderCare employee told WISH-TV.

The center is expected to be open on Friday.
