IPS Among Schools Canceling Classes For Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018

IPS will still provide lunch at five locations Tuesday for students in need.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) has announced it has canceled classes on Tuesday, Jan. 2 due to the cold temperatures and Wind Chill Warning that is in effect today.

RTV6 Meteorologist Todd Klaassen says Tuesday's high is expected to reach 10, but the wind chills in some areas may be 35 below zero. 

IPS says it will provide still provide lunch at several locations between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.:

  • Arlington Woods School 99
  • Carl Wilde School 79
  • Eleanor Skillen School 34
  • James Whitcomb Riley School 43
  • Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School
