IU Renames Design School for Eskenazis

Indy philanthropists Sidney and Lois Eskenazi have gifted the school with $20 million, IU said Wednesday.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The design school at Indiana University is being renamed after a $20 million gift from Indianapolis philanthropists Sidney and Lois Eskenazi.

IU said Wednesday that the school will be called the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design.

The money will be used to fund scholarships, academics, faculty development, and research.

The Indiana Unviersity School of Art, Architecture + Design currently offers degree programs in 14 areas of study.
