Jeff Miller Cited For Violating His Probation

Miller was cited by his probation officer for taking pictures of children at a trick-or-treating event and posting them on Twitter.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A former Indianapolis City-County councilor is accused of violating the terms of his probation by attending a trick-or-treating event.

Jeffrey Miller, previously sentenced for battery on a person under the age of 14, is accused of attending "Scare in the Square" on Halloween.

The next day, an officer received an email stating that Miller was at public places like White Castle and Wildwood Market trick-or-treating with his son.

Miller's attorney says that "even if these allegations are believed to be tur, that Mr. Miller has not violated the terms of probation."

When Miller was previously sentenced in the case, it was stated that his terms didn't prohibit "incidental contact" with children.

In Nov. 2017, Miller was accused of child molestation and battery after two young girls said fondled and inappropriately touched them.

Child molestation charges were dropped as part of his plea agreement. He stepped down from the city-county council when he took his plea deal.

Online court records state that Miller has a hearing on Dec. 17.
