Kokomo Sex Offender Wanted For Raping and Holding a Woman Captive In His Home

Kokomo Police say they are looking for Gary Perkins, who is accused of holding a woman captive Monday at his home Monday, then beating and raping her.

KOKOMO, Ind. -- Police need your help putting Gary Perkins behind bars. 

Investigators say Perkins, 51, of Kokomo held a woman captive Monday as his home at 500 W. Park Avenue, then beat and raped her.  The woman was able to get away and is okay, but Perkins is on the run. 

According to the Howard County Sex Offender Registry, Perkins was convicted in 1997 of rape, sexual battery and criminal deviate conduct.

Perkins is described as a white male, 6-foot-tall, 180 pounds who is bald with brown eyes.  He also has several tattoos including one that says "UNHOLY" on his neck.

Officers say Perkins is driving a blue 2003 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan.  He is also considered armed and dangerous.
