WARSAW, Ind. — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to figure out how an Indianapolis man died early Monday morning.

Officers say Ty Brown, 20, was found dead on McKenna Road, near Barbee Lake.

Investigators have used surveillance footage and anonymous tips to narrow down the time frame.

“At 3:21 a.m., he walked passed the Barbee Hotel,” Sgt. Chris Francis said. “And then from somewhere between 3:21 and 4:49 is when the death occurred.”

Francis says they are wanting, and needing, someone to come forward with information.

“With it being Labor Day morning, and obviously with the substantial amount of lakes in our area, cars were out and about,” he said. “So we know somebody out there knows something.”

The cause of Brown’s death is still unknown, as autopsy results are still pending.

Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for anyone that gives information that leads to an arrest.
