"Latinos for Trump" Introduced by Vice Pres. Pence
MIAMI--The Latinos for Trump Coalition was introduced by Vice Pres. Mike Pence Tuesday morning in Miami. Pence said he believes Mr. Trump has fought for many of the values that are synonymous with Hispanic and Latino Americans.
"Hard work, faith, family, freedom, educational choice and the American dream," said Pence at the event, to chants of "USA".
"Latino Americans know that it was freedom, not socialism that ended slavery, won two world wars and stands today as a beacon of hope for all the world."
Pence said Democrats have been denying the "humanitarian crisis" at the border.
"It's been Democrats who have been denying us the resources and reforms to end that crisis. It's time for Democrats in Congress to do their job," said Pence, a day before the first Democrat primary debate for president.
Florida has more than two million Latino people living there. Some of them tend to lean conservative.
