At Least Two Injured In IndyGo Bus Crash

The crash happened at the intersection of Washington Street and Ritter Avenue when an SUV ran a red light.

INDIANAPOLIS -- A collision between an electric IndyGo bus and an SUV took down a traffic light and left two people injured.

The crash happened at the intersection of Washington Street and Ritter Avenue around 8:30 on Tuesday morning.

IndyGo officials told the IndyStar that the SUV ran a red light at the intersection and hit the driver's side of the bus. The bus then hit a traffic pole, knocking it down. 

The IndyStar said that two bus passengers were taken to the hospital, and it's unclear if anyone in the SUV was hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
