Logansport Woman Arrested in Crash That Killed Sheriff's Daughter
HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. -- A Logansport woman has been arrested in connection with the crash that killed the daughter of Howard Co. Sheriff Jerry Asher on April 8.
Jordan Asher, 21, was headed north on US 35 when she crossed the center line and hit another car head-on.
Asher was killed in the crash. A toxicology report indicated she had THC in her system at the time of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, 48-year-old Jennifer Eastwood, was injured.
Toxicology tests showed she had a blood alcohol concentration of .196, more than twice the legal limit of .08.
Eastwood was arrested Monday for operating while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.
She is being held in the Cass Co. Jail.
